Bristol, VT, June 5, 2002 - The new SENIX® TS-30S1 line of ToughSonic® ultrasonic sensors measure distances from 4 inches up to 14 feet, even in wet or dirty environments. TS-30S1 sensors are waterproof (rated IP-68) and feature a narrow beam pattern, allowing their long range to be used in confined spaces. Only 4 inches long and housed in a 30mm threaded stainless steel case, these non-contact distance sensors can be mounted easily. SENIX® TS-30S1 sensors have many advanced features such as push-button “teaching”, software filtering and multi-sensor synchronization. Liquid level measurement, industrial machine control, roll diameter and loop control, object detection and sorting, and many other applications are appropriate for these sensors.
A wide range of output options are available, including analog voltage or current, PNP or NPN switches and RS-232/485. Several ToughSonic® models are available with two simultaneous outputs (“dual output”) for added flexibility and value.
