Bristol, VT, November 10, 2008 - The new SENIX® TSPC-30S series of ToughSonic® ultrasonic sensors offer non-contact distance measurement of target objects as close as 4.5 cm (1.75 in. ) and as far as 4.3 m (14 ft.). Contained in IP-68 rated 30 mm stainless threaded housings with a potted-in cable, they survive submersion and operate over a wide temperature range suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Using SenixVIEW software, the user can select and adjust any two outputs. Output selections include 0-10 VDC, 4-20 mA current loop, sinking (NPN) switches and sourcing (PNP) switches, plus serial digital data. All outputs and many other features are user adjustable, including distance and analog value calibration, situation responses, time delays, filters, communications and more. This functionality often eliminates extra hardware to reduce cost and simplify wiring. With TSPC just one model connects with all common standard interfaces and adapts to many different applications, reducing stock requirements and part number confusion. Sensor model options offer a choice of either RS-232 (PC COM port) or RS-485 serial data interfaces for connecting to SenixVIEW software or another serial data application. Features are also provided for using multiple sensors in networks or in close proximity without crosstalk. SenixVIEW software offers over 60 features to adjust, view, analyze, save and clone sensor applications, and can also update TSPC sensors with new features as they become available.
